International Islamic Law Graduate Symposium X Program Announced

X. INTERNATIONAL ISLAMIC LAW GRADUATE STUDIES SYMPOSIUM
The Tenth International Islamic Law Graduate Studies Symposium, hosted by Istanbul University Faculty of Theology, Department of Islamic Law, is scheduled to take place on October 31- November 1 with the collaboration of Sophia Islamic Institute, Istanbul Daru'l-Fünûn Ilahiyat Foundation, Ilim Yayma Foundation, and Ensar Foundation in I. U. Faculty of Theology Dean's Conference Hall.
The symposium will start with a panel titled "İslam İktisadının Dünü ve Bugünü" and chaired by Prof. Dr. Necdet Şensoy, with the participation of Asst. Prof. Dr. Zeyneb Hafsa Orhan, Dr. Ömer Emeç ve Dr. İlker Koç. On the first day, the symposium will be held in four sessions titled “Katılım Bankacılığı”, “Fıkıh ve İktisat”, “Fıkıh Tarihi” and “Geçmişten Günümüze Fıkıh Meseleleri”. On the second day the symposium will be held in four sessions titled “Biyofıkıh ve Helal Gıda”, “Bedene Yönelik Müdahaleler”, “Fıkıh Usulü, “Şahıslar ve Meseleler” and during these two days classical and modern problems of Islamic Law will be discussed.
